Section 1 — About the Inclusive Color System and Educational Apps
1. What is the Inclusive Color System (ICS)?
The Inclusive Color System (ICS), created by German Cerrato, combines different methods of distinguishing and understanding colors. It helps students, educators, artists, and individuals with color vision deficiency explore color theory in an educational and interactive way.
2. What educational apps are available?
Color Theory Education, LLC offers three interactive educational applications:
Elementary Color Wheel: Introduces young learners to primary and secondary colors through images, interactive activities, and Elementary Painter, where children can explore their creativity.
Universal Color Wheel: Helps students, educators, and artists explore color relationships, harmonious color schemes, tints, tones, and shades. It also includes Universal ImageColorLens for exploring colors in images.
Nopia Color Wheel: Introduces color perception associated with different forms of color vision deficiency. It includes NopiaLens™, an interactive simulator designed to help users explore how colors may appear under different color vision conditions.
3. Who can use these educational apps?
The apps are designed for students, teachers, artists, educational institutions, and anyone interested in understanding color theory and color perception.
4. Do I need to download or install the apps?
No. The three educational apps are web-based and can be accessed through a compatible internet browser.
Visit colortheoryeducation.com and click Free Trial Apps to explore the available applications. If you are already a member, click ICS Member Login to access your membership.
5. Can I try the apps before purchasing a membership?
Color Theory Education offers a 7-day free trial for visitors who want to explore the educational apps before subscribing.
Trial availability and eligibility are subject to the current membership offer.
Section 2 — Membership Plans and Pricing
6. What membership plans are available?
Color Theory Education, LLC offers two monthly membership plans:
Individual Membership — $8.99/month
Provides one registered user with access to all three educational apps: Elementary Color Wheel, Universal Color Wheel, and Nopia Color Wheel.
Classroom Membership — $49.90/month
Provides access for up to 10 registered users, including the classroom account owner. This plan is designed for teachers who want to introduce interactive color education into their classrooms.
7. Does my membership include all three educational apps?
Yes. Both membership plans provide access to all three educational apps and their integrated learning features, including Elementary Painter, Universal ImageColorLens, and NopiaLens™.
There is no need to purchase each application separately.
8. Can I upgrade from an Individual Membership to a Classroom Membership?
Yes. Members who wish to expand access from one user to a classroom of up to 10 users may request a change to the Classroom Membership.
The Individual Membership costs $8.99/month, while the Classroom Membership costs $49.90/month and includes the account owner plus nine additional users.
Before making a change, members should review their existing subscription and the billing details of the new plan to avoid overlapping charges.
Once the Classroom Membership is activated, the account owner can invite additional users and manage their access through the membership account.
For assistance with changing memberships, email contact@colortheoryeducation.com or contact us through colortheoryeducation.com.
9. How does the Classroom Membership work?
The Classroom Membership allows one account owner, typically a teacher, to manage access for up to nine additional users.
The account owner can invite students or other authorized users through a membership invitation link and manage their access.
Each invited user creates an individual login account.
10. Can I purchase additional classroom memberships for more than 10 users?
Schools or educators who need access for more than 10 users may contact Color Theory Education, LLC to discuss additional classroom memberships or institutional licensing arrangements.
Email contact@colortheoryeducation.com for assistance.
11. Will my membership include future app updates?
Yes. Active members receive updates and improvements to the three educational apps as they become available, without needing to reinstall the applications.
Section 3 — Registration, Login, and Account Access
12. How do I create an ICS membership account?
Visit colortheoryeducation.com and click Free Trial Apps to explore the available membership options.
Select the membership plan that best meets your needs and follow the registration instructions to create your account.
13. How do I log in to my educational apps?
Visit colortheoryeducation.com and click ICS Member Login.
Enter your registered email address and password to access your ICS membership account and the three educational apps.
14. What should I do if I forget my password?
On the membership login page, select Forgot Password and follow the instructions to reset your password using your registered email address.
If you do not receive the password reset email, check your spam or junk folder.
If you still need assistance, email contact@colortheoryeducation.com.
15. Can I use my membership on different devices?
Yes. The ICS educational apps are web-based and can be accessed through compatible internet browsers on computers, tablets, and smartphones.
Simply log in using your registered membership credentials.
Each membership is intended for its authorized users. Sharing personal login credentials with unauthorized individuals is not permitted.
16. Do students need their own email addresses and passwords?
For the Classroom Membership, each invited user creates an individual account using an email address and password.
The classroom account owner provides an invitation link so students can join the membership.
For younger students who cannot independently manage their accounts, teachers should follow their school's policies for student accounts, privacy, and parental authorization where required.
17. Can I share my membership password with another person?
No. Individual Memberships are intended for one registered user.
Classroom Memberships provide separate access for up to 10 authorized users, including the account owner.
Each user should maintain their own login credentials to help protect account security and membership access.
18. What happens when I log out?
Logging out ends your active membership session and returns you to the Color Theory Education website.
You can log in again at any time while your membership remains active.
Section 4 — Classroom Memberships and Student Management
19. How many users can access a Classroom Membership?
The Classroom Membership costs $49.90/month and provides access for up to 10 registered users, including the account owner and nine invited users.
Classroom invitations are not limited to students or teachers from the same grade level. For example, an elementary school teacher may invite a high school art teacher, or vice versa, allowing educators to share educational resources across different grade levels.
Because the three ICS educational apps are designed for different learning levels and purposes, teachers can select the applications most appropriate for their students' ages, abilities, and educational needs.
All authorized members have access to the Elementary, Universal, and Nopia Color Wheel applications.
20. How do I invite students to join my Classroom Membership?
After purchasing a Classroom Membership, log in to your membership account and open your account profile.
Select the Team section to access your classroom invitation link.
Share this link with the students or authorized users you wish to invite. Each invited user follows the link to create an account and join your Classroom Membership.
21. Can I remove a student and assign their membership access to another student?
Yes. Classroom account owners can manage their registered users through the Team section of their membership profile.
If a student leaves the classroom or no longer requires access, the account owner can remove that student and invite another user to occupy the available membership seat.
The Classroom Membership remains limited to 10 registered users at any one time.
22. Can students access the apps from home?
Yes. Students with active classroom membership accounts can access the educational apps from home or school using a compatible device and internet connection.
Students must log in using their own registered credentials.
23. What if a student forgets their password?
Students can use the Forgot Password option on the membership login page to request a password reset.
Teachers may assist younger students according to their school's account management and privacy policies.
24. Can teachers prepare classroom tablets or computers for younger students?
Teachers may prepare compatible classroom devices for educational use.
For younger students, account creation, login management, and device access should follow school policies and applicable requirements for student privacy and parental authorization.
Teachers should avoid sharing a single student's login credentials across multiple users.
25. Can schools or school districts purchase memberships for multiple classrooms?
Yes. Schools, school districts, and educational institutions interested in providing ICS educational apps to multiple classrooms may contact Color Theory Education, LLC to discuss their licensing needs.
Special discounts may be available for larger schools and school districts purchasing multiple classroom memberships or requiring a larger number of user licenses.
Customized institutional arrangements can be discussed based on the number of classrooms, teachers, students, and licenses required.
For additional information, email contact@colortheoryeducation.com or contact us through colortheoryeducation.com.
26. Can a teacher monitor students' activities or artwork through the Classroom Membership?
The Classroom Membership allows the account owner to manage registered users and their membership access.
It does not currently provide a centralized dashboard for monitoring students' activities, viewing their artwork, or tracking individual learning progress.
Section 5 — Billing, Cancellations, and Technical Support
27. How much does an ICS membership cost?
Color Theory Education, LLC offers two monthly membership options:
Individual Membership — $8.99/month: Access to all three educational apps for one registered user.
Classroom Membership — $49.90/month: Access to all three educational apps for up to 10 registered users, including the account owner.
Both memberships renew monthly unless canceled.
28. How will I be billed for my membership?
Membership payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor.
Your selected membership is billed automatically each month according to your subscription billing date.
Color Theory Education, LLC does not directly store your complete credit or debit card information.
29. Can I cancel my membership at any time?
Yes. You may cancel your membership at any time through the available subscription management options or by contacting Color Theory Education, LLC for assistance.
Cancellation stops future subscription renewals. Your membership access continues until the end of your current paid billing period.
For assistance, email contact@colortheoryeducation.com.
30. Do you offer refunds?
Membership payments are generally non-refundable.
Because ICS educational apps provide digital access immediately upon membership activation, refunds are not ordinarily issued for unused membership time, early cancellation, or failure to use the applications.
Any exceptions required by applicable law will be honored.
31. What happens to my access after cancellation?
You may continue using the three educational apps until the end of your current paid billing period.
After that period expires, access to the applications ends unless you reactivate an eligible membership.
For Classroom Memberships, access also ends for invited users when the account owner's membership expires.
32. What should I do if my payment fails?
If a membership payment is unsuccessful, review your payment information and update it through your membership account when available.
You may also contact your bank or payment provider for assistance.
If the problem continues, email contact@colortheoryeducation.com.
33. What should I do if an educational app is not working properly?
First, check your internet connection and refresh your browser.
If the problem continues, try using an updated browser or opening the app on a different device.
If the app works properly on another device, the problem may be related to your original device, browser, or its settings rather than the application itself.
If you continue experiencing difficulties, email contact@colortheoryeducation.com or contact us through colortheoryeducation.com.
Please describe the problem and identify which educational app and device you are using.
34. Will I be charged automatically after my free trial?
If your free trial includes automatic subscription activation, your selected membership will begin billing when the trial ends unless you cancel before the expiration date.
Important: You are responsible for canceling your free trial before it expires if you do not wish to continue with a paid membership.
Color Theory Education, LLC does not send reminders or notifications before your free trial expires.
We recommend keeping track of your trial expiration date to avoid unwanted subscription charges.
Please review the membership and billing terms during registration.
Section 6 — Color Vision Deficiency, Educational Use, and Accessibility
35. What is color vision deficiency (CVD)?
Color vision deficiency (CVD) refers to differences in how individuals perceive or distinguish certain colors.
Some individuals may have difficulty distinguishing particular colors, while others experience more extensive differences in color perception.
The Inclusive Color System encourages understanding, awareness, and appreciation of these differences through educational tools.
36. Is the Nopia Color Wheel designed only for people with color vision deficiency?
No. The Nopia Color Wheel is designed for everyone, including students, teachers, artists, designers, and individuals with or without color vision deficiency.
It provides an educational opportunity to explore differences in color perception and encourages greater awareness and understanding of color vision diversity.
37. What is NopiaLens™?
NopiaLens™ is an interactive educational color vision simulator integrated into the Nopia Color Wheel application.
It allows users to explore simulated color appearances associated with four color vision conditions:
Protanopia
Deuteranopia
Tritanopia
Achromatopsia
Users can compare images and explore how color relationships may change under different simulated viewing conditions.
38. Does NopiaLens™ show exactly how a person with color vision deficiency sees colors?
No. NopiaLens™ provides educational simulations intended to illustrate possible differences in color appearance.
Actual color perception varies among individuals, even among people with the same type of color vision deficiency.
The simulations should not be interpreted as an exact representation of any individual's personal visual experience.
39. Can the Nopia Color Wheel or NopiaLens™ diagnose color vision deficiency?
No. Neither the Nopia Color Wheel nor NopiaLens™ is a medical diagnostic tool.
They are intended for educational exploration and awareness of color vision differences.
Individuals seeking a diagnosis or professional evaluation should consult a qualified eye care professional.
40. Can students with color vision deficiency use all three educational apps?
Yes. Students with color vision deficiency are welcome to explore all three ICS educational apps.
The Elementary, Universal, and Nopia Color Wheels offer different approaches to learning about colors, their relationships, and their applications.
Teachers are encouraged to select activities appropriate to each student's learning needs and color perception.
41. Are the ICS educational apps suitable for different age groups?
Yes. The three applications serve different educational purposes.
Elementary Color Wheel: Introduces younger learners to basic color concepts through interactive activities and creative exploration.
Universal Color Wheel: Provides more advanced learning opportunities involving color relationships, harmonious color schemes, and color values.
Nopia Color Wheel: Introduces color vision differences and encourages greater understanding of color perception.
Educators can select the application most appropriate for their students' ages, abilities, and learning objectives.
42. Can ICS educational apps replace traditional classroom instruction or professional vision assessments?
No. The ICS educational apps are designed to support and enhance classroom instruction, not replace the professional judgment of teachers or qualified vision specialists.
They provide additional opportunities for exploration, creative expression, and understanding of color theory and color perception.
